McCulloch occurs as manufacturer of chainsaws. A company was founded around 1943 by Robert Paxton McCulloch as a manufacturer of little both-stroke gas engines & introduced its number one chaaround saw in 1948. In the Seventies it added hedge trimmers, string trimmers, & leaf blowers to the business line, however continued to keep the narrow revolve about lawn & garden devices. Since its 1999 acquisition by the Taiwanese company Jenn Feng Industrial Co., Ltd, it has added electric power tools such as drills and sanders.
Founder Robert McCulloch as well developed the centrifugal supercharger for automotive use. Initially, these were produced & sold under a McCulloch title, however around 1956 the supercharger division was renamed Paxton Superchargers. A section was sold within 1958, becoming Paxton Automotive. A business firm is however around business.
